Miss C's eye problem

This is the conversation between the doctor and Miss C.

Miss C: I've got an eye problem. What is wrong with my eye?

Doctor: Let's have a look. Oh.. How long have you had this for?

Miss C: From yesterday when I woke up.

Doctor: Does it hurt?

Miss C: No, it doesn't hurt.

Doctor: You've got the Subconjunctival Hemorrhage. It causes when a small blood vessel breaks underneath the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva is a clear tissue that's covering the white part of the eye. The blood will be trapped there until it gets absorbed again by the tissues of your eye. It can be serious but not usually serious. You recently had a flu so that might had caused it.

Miss C: So do I have to do anything?

Doctor: No but do not rub your eye. Just leave it for a week and it will go away, but if it gets worse come back.

Miss C: Thank you doctor!

200 word story

  1. The first day of school, a love note, and a recipe with a significant mistake.

My first day of school was energetic, vibrant and vitalistic. I am going to tell you about my first day of school. So, on the first day of school I went to school, right? There was a step in the main entrance. A big step. There is always lots of people at that steps, they are always crowded in groups. It is very hard for me to get through those groups of people and also the steps are steep and I'm not that big, I'm small. Well I tried to get through those people. When I look up, sometimes I was able to see some familiar faces and on the step, there were a letter with a heart on it. I picked it up, and read it. Oh. It was a love letter. I don't know who made that love letter and who was it for, but I am keeping it under my pillow.

In the class we had to bake some cakes for our family. I was making a strawberry cake. I was keep mixing and made the cake with all my effort. I put it in the oven and waited. After all that waiting I got my cake out of the oven. But I suddenly realised that I forgot to put a strawberry in! So I had to quickly put the strawberry in the cake and gave it to my family.

Marble in a plastic jar

Marble in a plastic jar is a experiment that we did in the science lab. There were lots and lots of cool science experiments ready for us but this was my favourite out of all, because I like to do something with the marble and I am good at something to do with wrist snap. We did these experiment because this week is the national primary science week. This is how you do this experiment.

Equipment:
Marble
Plastic jar

Steps

1. Insert the marble inside the plastic jar.
2. Cover the open part of the plastic jar.
3. Place the plastic jar sideways.
4. Spin the marble and then spin upside down so your hand that's blocking the hole is facing the bottom.
4. Keep spinning upside down and try not to make the marble touch your hand.

Science behind
When you spin the marble you are creating a force and when you keep spinning it

The TIS Times

On Friday, 16th of May 2014, Brando Yelavich a man who just turned 20 this year came to TIS to tell his journey so far to the students at TIS on Friday assembly. He told the students that he was walking around the New Zealand coasts for a year and he also said that he got 4 months to go. The reason he was walking around the New Zealand is because he was getting in a trouble with a cop and his parents and he wanted to find out more about himself. He came to TIS with his big bag called 'Lady' and inside, he had some survival kits and his camera, sleeping bag, raft and what he need for surviving.
