Original similies

Create 5 original similes
NO CLICHES!

As tired as an ant moving a raindrop to their house.

As quick witted as a mouse avoiding the trap all around the house.

As frightened as a 16 years old soldier going to the war.

Gently like a new car that King bought today.

Grey like a dusty mannequin left by itself in the warehouse.

Similies

NO CLICHES!

As sharp as a pencil that just got sharpened for the student's speech.

As shiny as the baby's white clear teeth that just got born.

As relaxed as a sloth that is relaxedly lying on a bough.

Intricate like making the King's exquisite and elaborate watch for his parade happening tomorrow.

Two tens for a five

Today our class did these questions for daily blog post as it is the maths week this week. Here is the question, script, link and my answer.

Answer-
Lou lost 25 dollars.

Daily Dollar Questions Level 4
Monday: "Two Tens For a Five."

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's first scene in the movie 'One Night in the Tropics' is a classic.
Abbott cons Costello by simply asking for change. "Have you got 2 tens for a five?" he asks. As Lou realised he has been duped, Bud snaps back: "OK, here's your five, give me back my 2 tens!" The skit carries on and Lou loses money!
"Two Tens for a Five" is a classic vaudeville routine made famous by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello and has been repeated many times over the years.

Here is the script!

Abbott: Have you got two tens for a five? Costello: Just so happen to have it.

Lou gives Bud ten dollars and Bud gives Lou five dollars.
Costello: Just a minute, just one minute!

Abbott: Something wrong?

Costello: Fifteen dollars just went south!

Abbott: What do you mean?

Costello: You gave me a lot of your fast talk, you said 'do you have two tens for a five' and I gave you two tens for a five.

Abbott: Just a minute, are you accusing me of cheating?

Costello: No, but you got two tens for a five.

Abbott: Alright here's your five now gimme back my two tens. Okay, that's better.

Bud gives Lou five dollars and Lou gives Bud ten dollars. After a slight pause Lou realises he has been conned again.

Costello: What are you doing? Abbott: What’s wrong now?

Costello: Look Abbott, here's two tens gimme a five! Abbott: Certainly.

Lou gives Bud ten dollars and Bud gives Lou five dollars.

Costello: HA HA HA HAAA! You did it to me...
You did it to me again.

Abbott: Oh come on.

The 300 Dollar Question.
How much did Lou lose ?
Try to act it out with you friend. Use paper as money!
Maybe you can act it out as the famous Bud Abbott and Lou Costello did!

Watch the comedy on YouTube. It’s priceless!

TGC open night

Yesterday on Thursday the 7th, my mum, brother and I went to the TGC open night. We walked all the way to the big gym, and we sat there. There was lots of chairs around. I saw my friend who is currently year 12 at TGC, and she was in charge of us. After all those teacher's speech, we followed the four girls (involving my friend) to the literacy block. We looked at all the books that we do in year 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. Then we looked at the classrooms then left. I don't remember all the things that we did next so I'm just going to say what we did. We went to computer room and they said that they do things with google sketchup and we were able to go around and

computer, bbq, science, language, music, food tech, textile tech, materials, gym, social study
