Mexico's tax on soft drinks

Mexico’s tax on soft drinks

Created on February 7, 2014
coke
The people of Mexico drink more soft drinks than people in any other country in the world.
In 2013, the government of Mexico decided to increase the taxes on soft drinks with sugar because of the health issues soft drinks cause, such as obesity and diabetes.
Mexico is not the first country to attempt tax increases on unhealthy foods. In 2011, Denmark, put a tax on fatty foods to try and improve people’s health.
The President of Mexico has said that the money raised from the taxes on soft drinks will be used to provide clean drinking water in schools that need it.

How to be me on a school morning

1. When the alarm goes off on 6:20 you get your alarm clock and check the time. If it is not too late you wait for 5 to 10 minutes in bed.

2. Then if it gets quiet late you get up and sit on the bed for about 3~4 minutes.

3. After that, you get out from bed and you get your school uniform and go to the toilet with them.

4. You get changed into school uniform, wash your face and brush your teeth.

5. Following by that, you pack your bag, go out to the kitchen and get your drink bottle.

6. Remember things that you need for after school or before school and get ready for it.

7. Eat your breakfast and get your lunchbox into the bag that mum packed you.

8. Then wait for the brother and sister to get themselves ready.

9. You go to the toilet for last and ask parents to sign things from school.
10. At last, you get your sandals and go into the car.

Attitude personality test

Today our class did the attitude personality test at attitide.org.nz because last year one guy came to our school and talked to us about the attitude and he was from the attitude company(?). There is four types of personality which is Lion, Golden Retriever, Otter and Beaver. I know Golden Retriever is soft and kind and I know that Otter is quite a noisy one and I know that the Beaver is a smart one but I don't know about the Lion. I think the Lion is the bossy one that wants to do all the things by itself.

1. What type/s of animal were you?
I was a 39% Beaver, 30% Golden Retriever, 21% Lion and 9% of an Otter.

2. Do you agree with this result? Say why/why not.
Yes I agree with this result because I thought I would definitely be Golden Retriever or a Beaver.

3. What are 3 strengths of your animal type? What is 1 weakness of your animal type?
3 strengths for my animal is that Beaver tries their best, neat and smart. 1 weakness for my animal is that they don't have the sense of humour.

4. Predict which animal you think the other members of your family are, and do the same for 1 good friend.
Dad: Lion
Mum: Beaver
Sister: Otter
Brother: Otter
My friend Jordan: Golden Retriever

5. Do you think this is a useful survey for people to take? Say why/why not.
Yes because people get to know they're personalities.

I have done including my link to this post.
