1. Explain what a translation is.

Translation is moving the shape. It looks exactly the same but in a different place.

1. Explain how a vector works. What does it look like? What does the top number indicate? What does the bottom number indicate?

Vector in translation has the information of the direction (left or right, up or down) the shape has move.

1. Give a real life example of when translation is used.

Moving the furniture, driving the car, when playing a chess game, puzzle etc.

Rotational symmetry

Rotational symmetry is a shape that if it is rotated into certain angles, it matches with the original shape of it. Rotational symmetry is different to line symmetry because the line symmetry is a reflection, not a rotation. You check if the shape has a symmetry and try to visualise what happens if it gets rotated.
